Daily Journal Names Matthew McNicholas to 2026 Top Labor & Employment Lawyers List
Partner Matthew McNicholas was featured on Daily Journal’s 2026 Top Labor & Employment Lawyers list for his representation of first responders in employment law matters. His notable work resulted in more than $34 million in 2025.
His feature spotlights his recent $14.6 million jury verdict in a retaliation and discrimination lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles, on behalf of four LAPD officers who were retaliated against for raising concerns at a firearms training facility.
Matthew told the Daily Journal that his method centers on a single principle: “Prepare, prepare, and prepare again. The client reviews all depositions and exhibits and tells us what they think and what points they would want to make. We want them to understand everything about the case.”
