Joseph McNally Speaks at ACFE Chicago Chapter Event on Meta Litigation and Social Media Platform Risks
Director of Emerging Litigation Joseph McNally presented at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ Greater Chicago Chapter event, “Algorithms, Addictions, and Exploitation: What the Meta Cases Mean for Big Tech,” on July 10 via Zoom.
McNally provided an overview of the ongoing Meta litigation, the challenges of proving causation in social media-related mental health and addiction cases, technology companies’ efforts to mitigate platform risks, and the impact of encryption on law enforcement investigations.
