LA Times Names Matthew and Patrick McNicholas to 2025 Consumer Attorneys of Southern California List

Partners Matthew McNicholas and Patrick McNicholas were included in the Los Angeles Times’ Consumer Attorneys of Southern California 2025 list, recognizing the significant impact of their work in personal injury and labor and employment

Matthew was recognized for his advocacy supporting first responders facing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. From 2023 to 2025, he achieved verdicts and settlements exceeding $1.5 billion. His efforts emphasize his dedication to holding public safety agencies accountable and empowering employees to foster safer work environments. 

Patrick’s feature highlighted his landmark $4 billion settlement against Los Angeles County juvenile detention facilities and his efforts to secure justice for over 7,000 victims of systemic sexual abuse, where he played a key role as a negotiator. His work also involved holding large utility companies and manufacturers accountable for California’s devastating wildfires, leading to significant safety improvements. 

The Los Angeles Times’ list of Consumer Attorneys of Southern California is compiled through nominations and independent research. Criteria for selection include average success rate, recent settlements and verdicts, leadership roles, community involvement, and board affiliations and recognitions.
